GL is a Southern African women's rights organisation headquartered in Johannesburg with offices in Zimbabwe, Mauritius, Madagascar, Lesotho and Botswana.

We offer visitors and guests a haven of peace and tranquillity in the midst of Johannesburg's thriving metropolis. Set high on the Observatory Ridge, where a number of national monuments are housed, the GL Cottages stands above the hustle and bustle of the city and provides guests the opportunity for reflection and renewal. GL acquired The Cottages, its adjoining White House and 29 Gill Street as part of our sustainability and diversification strategy. The GL Cottages is a place of peace, productivity and privacy.

Each room is quiet, private and uniquely designed. All the profits from this venture go into advancing women's rights in Southern Africa. The GL Cottages is run and managed by a small group of dedicated people who seek to provide guests with comfort, time and space to experience stillness, wholeness and renewal.

  • The spa is located at the Gender Links Cottages, is surrounded by beautiful trees, and just feels like an amazing getaway.

    The service was excellent!!! I had a full-body massage and I didn't want it to end. We were a group of three and were in the same room. The room is spacious with unique decor. I would recommend this spa for girls getaways, couples' massages or even solo pampering.
